New bone tryouts, part 2

So mom has gotten me some more new bones to try out for my teefies. First up, the bully stick! It's soooo yummy!!  But just like the rawhide I get kinda possesive over it so mom has to hold it while I chow down so she can take it away when it gets too small for me to have.  But that's okay cause I make to most out of it while I can!!

And then if that wasn't enough, I got another surprise.  Mom went to the Christmas Fair & Expo this past weekend & brought me home something totally awesome from one of the pet booths... an antler!!

Mom says that it's a lot better for me than the nylabone's that I used to chew on. And I say... GIMME GIMME GIMME!!

I love love love it!!

And now if you'll excuse me, I have an antler to get back to...

New bone tryouts

So since mom found out about my broken tooth, she has been on the hunt for a bone that won't hurt my teeth the way my nylabones do.

This week, rawhide... yum :)

The only bad thing, or so mom says, is that I get a little possesive over it when mom tries to take it away.  So I say, don't try to take it away.  But in the end, mom had to hold it while I chewed on it so I wouldn't get so growl-y when she put it up for the night.

Til next time Mr. Rawhide!!

Moment of Silence

Today is a day for sadness & remembrance.  One of mine & mom's favorite blogs is The Long & Short of it All & today the sad news came that the hostess of this wonderful site, Maggie, has passed over the rainbow bridge.  She leaves behind her brother (Joey) & dad and tons of admirers around the globe and she will definitely be missed.  Mom & I are very sad to hear this news & just wanted to pay our respects to Maggie, below are some quotes mom found that express how we feel:

"You think dogs will not be in heaven? I tell you, they will be there long before any of us."
                               (Robert Louis Stevenson)

"Not the least hard thing to bear when they go from us, these quiet friends, is that they carry away with them so many years of our own lives."
                                       (John Galsworthy)

"Dogs don't know about beginnings, and they don't speculate on matters that occurred before their time. Dogs also don't know — or at least don't accept — the concept of death. With no concept of beginnings or endings dogs probably don't know that for people having a dog as a life companion provides a streak of light between two eternities of darkness."
                                         (Stanley Coren )

"A person who has never owned a dog has missed a wonderful part of life."
                                           (Bob Barker)

Rest in peace sweet Maggie.
