The leaves they are a-changing

Today I took mom to the park to see all the pretty leaves changing colors.  We had a great time, there were all kinds of good stinkies to smell, and there were tons of squirrels & other doggies to bark at, too. 

And because mom was such a good sport & let me smell all that I could get my little nose on, I let her take a few pictures.  Some of them turned out okay, if I do say so myself...

I hope you take some time this weekend to get outside & enjoy all the sights & smells of autumn.

Doctor, Doctor

Awhile back mom found me a new vet's office & a new doctor. So yesterday she said we were gonna go pay them a "first time" visit, and you know what that means...

...yep, car ride!!  And I even wore my new dapper duds to impress the new doc, which of course, it totally did.  Dr. Yates was very nice to me & played with me & gave me some snackies & said I was a very handsome boy & they even took my picture.  There was a problem though, when mom had him look at my teefies to get the scoop on cleaning, he found a broken tooth all the way in the back.  And boo hoo, it has to come out. :(  Mom was surprised cause I never told her about it, but  Dr. Yates said that was probably cause I such a brave boy & didn't want to worry her.

So all in all it was a nice visit cause I didn't have anything clipped or cut or trimmed or poked or prodded, although I was felt up a little bit but it wasn't so bad.

Slumber baggie

So a couple of weeks ago my friends on Facebook, Jake Waenie & Chance held a Halloweenie Costume Contest & guess what??  I won first place!!  Cool huh??  My prize... this awesome weenie size slumber baggie, made just for me with an awesome fall doxie design.

Wow, what a week I've had.  First I got my new spiffy duds, then this super cool slumber baggie.  I will definitely have to thank lots of special people in my puppy prayers tonite.

New duds!!

Da da da daaa... they're here!!  My new harnesses from Baxter's mom arrived in the mail today & hot diggitty dog are they awesome!! Woo wee, I am gonna be the best dressed dog in Louisville.  Mom says that she will take better pictures this weekend in the daylight but here's a sneek peak at our photo session tonite.

Whaddya think??  I love my new spiffy duds, I can't wait to wear them around town so everybody can see just how awesome I look!!  And guess what else, there was an extra present in my box... a snackie treat ball!!  It's so cool, mom puts snackies inside of it then I roll it around & the treats fall out & then yummm.  How neat is that?!?  I'm not sure if Baxter or duk duk or B's mom put it in there for me but I just have one thing to say... THANK YOU!!!

Oh, and to B's mom, if you're reading this, my mom wants me to tell you that she loves loves loves my new harnesses almost as much as I do.  She oooo'd & aahhhh'd over them for a long time & then I finally got to do my sniffing & hey, was there a treaty in that cool little pocket???  Thank you, thank you, thank you so much for my cool new duds:)

Sleepover

Oh my goodness, wait til I tell you!!  I had some sleepover guests this week, it was my cousins Squirt, Oscar & Chief.  They used to live with my mom & Auntie Heather before me & my brother Pilot were born.

We had such a good time, we ran around & played zoomies & barked at each other & did squirrel patrol together & went on walkies together & ate marshmellow snackies together (yum) & chewed on bones together & snuggled on mom, yep, together... it was so much fun!!  Mom says we were so fast she couldn't get a lot of pics so she put together what she could for me to show you.

I'm sad though cause they are moving to Nashville with their mom, my Auntie Ashley... what's so special about Nashville??  I mean, Auntie Heather moved there, my Auntie Chelsea & cousin Stella live there, and now Auntie Ashley & the weens... what gives??  All my playmates are moving away...  stupid ol' stinky Nashville... maybe if I promised them snackies & zoomies & snuggling everyday they'll come back.  Think it'll work??  Ideas are welcome:)

Anyhoo, I just wanted to tell you what an awesome week I had.  OH, & I also won a Halloweenie Costume Contest on Facebook last week, how cool is that?!?  Stay tuned for my post about my prize, hee hee...

Hungry, hungry doxie

I don't know if you know this or not, but doxie's are always hungry. I don't mean like we could eat a little extra treat now & then, I mean hun-ga-ryy!!  Feed-me-now-or-I'm-gonna-starve-to-death hungry!!

So every day I am sure to let mom know when it is time for my bowl to be prepared, you know, in my quiet low key bark inside voice. My first dinner is my favorite 'cause I get greeny beanies w/ my kibble!!  Mmmm mmm, I loooove greeny beanies.  I can hardly contain myself waiting for mom to get my bowl ready, I tell her so too.  Then, she makes me "wait"... WAIT to start eating!!  Oh the dog-manity!! 

But I wait because I'm a good boy & when she says "okay" I gobble it all down in about one minute...

There is nothing sadder than an empty food bowl, so I make sure to give mom my most pitiful gaze to let her know that it simply wasn't enough & that I'm wasting away... which never works, of course, & I have to wait a whole 2 hours to have my second dinner.

I have to go now, I have to go tell mom it's about that time...

Nap time

Ahhh, sleepy sleepy nap time.  Mom & I took a break today after going to Bark in the Park.





We had a great time today, I got to meet tons of new doggies & smell all kinds of stinky smells & I ate a bunch of treaties.  Every booth was giving them out & we went around more than once so by the time we got home my tummy was FULL!! 

And mom even got 2 new scarves for me to wear, 1 is even for Christmas time!!  Check 'em out...

Moment of Silence

Today is a day for sadness & remembrance.  One of mine & mom's favorite blogs is The Long & Short of it All & today the sad news came that the hostess of this wonderful site, Maggie, has passed over the rainbow bridge.  She leaves behind her brother (Joey) & dad and tons of admirers around the globe and she will definitely be missed.  Mom & I are very sad to hear this news & just wanted to pay our respects to Maggie, below are some quotes mom found that express how we feel:

Watermelon Watusi

Woo hoo... what a way to spend Labor Day!!  Sorry this post is late everybody, but mom has not been very helpful lately.  I mean, without thumbs it's kinda hard for me to post things by myself...

Anyway, check it out... a watermelon!!  Just for me,
all for me!!  Well, I did share some with mom, but she got it just for me!! 

Mmmmm mmmm, it sure smells good up there on that plate mom...

It was soooo yummy, and mom let me have a whole piece all to myself.
